'Work on projects after Makaravilakku season'

SABARIMALA: Chairman of the high-power committee on Sabarimala Master Plan and Additional Chief Secretary, K Jayakumar, has said that the projects under the plan would be implemented immediately after the Makaravilakku season.
Talking  to reporters at Sannidhanam Devaswom Guest House on Sunday,  Jayakumar said that the short-listing of the projects to be implemented would be taken up at a crucial meeting of  the committee to be held at Sabarimala on December 23. Jayakumar said that he had already held preliminary discussions with consultants in this regard. As part of it, high-ranking officials of Pithawadia Associates of Chennai, the consultants for Sannidhanam, had come here,  he said.  Jayakumar said that the important projects to be taken up at Sannidhanam soon after the Makaravilakku include  sewage treatment, prasadam complex, queue complex between Marakkoottam and Saramkuthi, Kunnar  dam augmentation, widening  work of Swami Ayyappan Road and Chandranandan Road.
The meeting would also decide on the projects to be taken up at Pampa and Nilackal. The meeting would take up the issue of fund mobilisation for the implementation of the projects, Jayakumar said. He said that the details of the discussions on the Master Plan would be submitted to the Kerala High Court.
